"50K Feet and No Insurance" is a photojournalistic series capuring the lives of then-emerging comedians of color in New York City. Set against the backdrop of the bustling city, each photograph tells a story of ambition and the sheer will to make it in the cutthroat world of comedy—often without the safety net of stable income or health insurance. This series highlights not only the unique comedic styles and talents of these individuals but also sheds light on the broader challenges they face as they chase their dreams in the Big Apple.
