Haiti’s only film school the Cine Institute, located in Jacmel, sustained massive damages as a result of the earthquake. All but one of the school’s 60 students have been accounted for. From the rubble they salvaged six video cameras and one still camera and they have been documenting their country’s devastation.

I will acknowledge that i find the lyrics to be a bit chauvinistic. But I can’t front on this video. Kid Cudi avoids the cliche pitfalls of the flashy, over stylized videos and opts to find beauty in the simple things like wavering balloons and transposing lines. This along with the analogous color harmonies, cinematography and editing create the perfect visual symphony.
