On Thursday, January 21, 2010, Kevin Powell, April R. Silver, Marc Ecko, DJ Beverly Bond, DJ Spooky, Annabella Sciorra, and Laura Dawn of moveon.org, produced a fundraiser to “Help Haiti” at ELEMENT in Greenwich Village, New York City.

Haiti’s only film school the Cine Institute, located in Jacmel, sustained massive damages as a result of the earthquake. All but one of the school’s 60 students have been accounted for. From the rubble they salvaged six video cameras and one still camera and they have been documenting their country’s devastation.
